Lisa Urankar

Lisa is an emerging artist, who brings a unique illustrative style to her artwork. She is, alot of times, inspired by her surroundings, life experiences, and the people in her life. She communicates her thoughts and feelings through her work. The creative process many times acts as a healing tool, bringing serenity and joy. She has a deep love for genealogy and the continuity of family, many times being influenced by different cultures and generations.

"There is a spiritual aspect to my art. When I work, like in a meditative state, I connect to this invisible energy that surrounds every living thing. For me, this is where the act of creation begins and all I have to do is flow with it."

Lisa continues to take art classes and workshops whenever possible, some have included continuing education classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and watercolor classes with David Rankin.

She is affiliated with and member of several organizations some include: Euclid Art Association, Creative Arts Association, Hillcrest Art Guild, Valley Art Center and a new member of the Great Lakes Pastel Society, Colored Pencil Society of America and the Ohio Plein Air Society.

She has participated in numerous art shows and exhibitions, receiving many honors and awards. Her artwork is held in many private collections throughout the United States.
